It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Paris is a lovely place to enjoy the festive season! There are many nice decorated spots and some beautiful Christmas trees! If you’re looking for perfect christmassy pictures, this is the right blogpost for you! In other words, I’ve listed all the places you can enjoy during the most beautiful time of the year in the capital of lights and love! And probably take some Instagram worthy shots!

Galeries Lafayette

Every year, a giant tree is erected in the very heart of the Galeries Lafayette’s central court. Standing high above all shoppers, it shines against a dazzling backdrop erected in Art Nouveau architecture! This tree is a sight to behold in itself and makes any stroll in the iconic department store well worth it. Only if you’re not afraid of crowds!

Christmas 2017

For the 2017 festive season, the Galeries Lafayette tree was created entirely out of inflatables, from candy to balloons… resulting in plenty of fun! The theme was ‘Spectacular, Spectacular’ and the mood was all about calling upon the ‘inner child’ in each and every one of us.

Christmas 2018

Sponsored by the luxury watchmaker, Piaget, this year’s tree is all green and gold glitter. It calls upon a magical world, with stars and imaginary creatures that dance above it. Furthermore, the 2018 window displays outside the store are equally as admirable: they represent children’s favorite heroes!

Place Vendôme

At Christmas time, many majestic trees that shine a thousand lights enhance this square!

These carefully decorated trees illuminate the facades of this luxurious spot. And at each corner of the square, other duos of impressive firs, echoing those surrounding the famous green Vendôme column.

Avenue Montaigne

This avenue starts on the banks of the Seine, and ends at the Champs-Élysées’ roundabout. It hosts numerous luxury stores and upscale establishments like the Plaza Athénée.

Christmas 2017

The avenue has the most exquisite decorations around Christmas time. For example, Dior’s facade gets a Christmas makover and becomes one of the most (insta)famous spots of Paris!

Christmas 2018

Le Village Royal

Le Village Royal is a pedestrian courtyard in the Madeleine district. This is where I’ve found the most perfect Christmas tree the last two years!

Galerie Vivienne

The Galerie Vivienne is one of the covered ‘passages’ of Paris, and offers a glimpse of the atmosphere that ruled in Paris in the 19th century. It’s another beautiful Christmas spot in Paris, and you won’t regret wandering around!
